CONTEC, a specialized company in space ground station services and satellite imaging, announced that the ASP (Asian Space Park) it is establishing in Jeju Island was designated as an investment promotion zone on December 29th.
ASP is the largest domestic private spaceport complex (antenna farm) in Korea, with a total of 12 antennas for low Earth orbit satellites, including 2 antennas from Contec's own ground stations and 10 antennas requested by overseas space companies such as KSAT (Norway) and RBC (USA).
